Geoawesomeness
Geoawesomeness is a web blog about everything GEO i.e. location, Geospatial Technology, Location Based Services (LBS) and everything awesome around it. We are passionate about gis, maps, location-based apps, geomarketing, drones and remote sensing. With a team of people from all around the world, with different backgrounds, cultures and interests we aim to be not only the best geo-news platform but also to provide constructive commentary about all awesome stuff that are happening in the geo-industry.
Working student
1. Execute whole satellite data and aerial images processing chain from data preprocessing, sampling, classification, post-processing via QGIS PlugIn.
2. Visual interpretation of LC/LU structures of 27000 km² on basis of HR/VHR satellite images and the production of new respectively the adaption of existing vector/raster datasets utilizing the Open Source GIS Software QGIS.
3. Visual interpretation of a Reference Samples DB on the basis of HR S-1 and S-2 images (water/non-water) using the Open Source GIS Software QGIS.
Outcome:
1. homogeneous, high-resolution vector/raster dataset of LC/LU Geometric;
2. Semantic quality checks of vector/raster datasets;
3. Validation of processed vector and raster datasets with GIS tools and documentation of results;
4. Simple analytical tasks using geographical information systems, as well as the creation of cartographic representations and the writing of reports.
ESA BIC Denmark LAUNCHPAD 2021
LAUNCHPAD is a 12-day European Space Agency (ESA) BIC DK pre-incubation summer program for selected entrepreneurs to create moonshot startups using space to benefit the earth.
The goal of LAUNCHPAD is to accelerate the growth of new space tech startups to go into ESA BIC DK incubation after LAUNCHPAD and receive a free-of-charge package of business coaching, technical support, and cash incentives of 50.000 EUR during an incubation period of up to 2 years.
The LAUNCHPAD program structure is heavily influenced by the world-renowned 24 Step Disciplined Entrepreneurship approach, created by Bill Aulet, used at MIT Entrepreneurship and Delta-V.
The program is highly selective, and the selected participants are in for 12 faced-paced, long, intense, and demanding days. LAUNCHPAD is no summer camp. Our goal is to get the participants from idea to VC-ready in less than two weeks.
LAUNCHPAD 2021 is going national this year. We are hosting the program simultaneously at our 3 incubation hubs at the Technical University of Denmark in DTU Skylab, at Aarhus University in The Kitchen, and at Aalborg University at CREATE. You can state in your application which location is your best fit for creating a cutting-edge startup.
LAUNCHPAD 2021 will mix digital and physical activities, where we finish the program with a vast Demo Day in the Tycho Brahe Planetarium. Note that the program is digital from the 16-20 of August. So your physical presence is only required from the 21-27 of August.
